Summary
Hermes Agent by NousResearch is a self-hosted autonomous agent that installs in one curl command, runs persistently on a server, and connects to Telegram/Discord/Slack/WhatsApp via a unified gateway. It builds a persistent memory of projects and auto-generates reusable skills over time. Unlike chatbot wrappers, it operates unattended using natural language cron scheduling and isolated subagents.
